Readiness & recovery
The signals Runima uses to estimate how prepared your body is to train hard.
Readiness & recovery
Readiness combines several daily signals into a view of how prepared you are for a demanding session today.
Signals
- Resting heart rate — a rise above your baseline often precedes fatigue or illness.
- Heart-rate variability (HRV) — higher values generally indicate a recovered, parasympathetically-dominant state.
- Sleep — duration and consistency relative to your own history.
How to read it
Runima compares each signal to your rolling baseline rather than population norms, so the readout reflects your normal — not a generic target. A low readiness day is a cue to keep effort easy, not necessarily to skip training.
