Welcome to Runima. By accessing or using our service, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our service.

Description of Service

Runima is an analytical platform that processes fitness and health data you provide from your smartwatch exports. We provide visualizations, statistics, and metrics based on your data to help you understand your training patterns and progress.

AI-Generated Insights

AI-generated insights are optional and off by default. If you enable them, you may choose a model hosted by Runima or a third-party Qwen model provided through QwenCloud. QwenCloud is preselected in the opt-in dialogue. The self-hosted option processes prompts on Runima-controlled infrastructure; the QwenCloud option transmits the calculated training and health facts needed for narration to QwenCloud.

Depending on the feature, AI prompts may contain activity and lap metrics, heart rate and HRV, sleep and recovery measurements, pulse oximetry, respiration, Body Battery, training-load and performance metrics, pace and running mechanics, race estimates, training-risk assessments and reasons, active injury details, flags, classifications, and Runima-generated recommendations. Unavailable fields are omitted. We do not intentionally include your name, email, password, account ID, authentication credentials, or contact details, and we do not send raw second-by-second activity streams. AI-generated interpretations are not verified calculations. Unlike the numeric metrics elsewhere in the app, they are judgment calls produced by a language model and can be inaccurate or miss context. They do not constitute medical advice or professional training guidance, and are subject to the same disclaimers as the rest of this service (see "No Medical or Professional Training Advice" above).

You can turn AI summaries or AI-generated conclusions on or off and change the selected provider at any time from your account settings. Turning AI off does not affect your underlying metrics. Provider changes apply to future processing and do not automatically regenerate existing summaries. Third-party processing is also subject to the QwenCloud Privacy Policy.

Assumption of Risk

You understand and acknowledge that:

• Physical exercise and athletic training involve inherent risks of injury, illness, disability, or even death
• You are solely responsible for your own training decisions, pace, intensity, duration, and frequency
• You assume all risks associated with using Runima's analytics and making training decisions based on the information provided
• Runima does not and cannot guarantee that following any metrics or insights will improve your performance or prevent injury
• You should consult with qualified medical and training professionals before beginning or modifying any exercise program
• You are responsible for ensuring you are physically capable of performing any training activities you undertake

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Runima and its operators shall not be liable for:

• Any injuries, illnesses, disabilities, or death resulting from your use of the service or reliance on any information, analytics, or recommendations provided
• Any training decisions you make based on the data, metrics, or insights provided by Runima, including decisions about training volume, intensity, pacing, recovery, or race strategy
• Overtraining, undertraining, improper pacing, inadequate recovery, or any other training-related issues
• Any losses, damages, or injuries arising from technical errors, inaccuracies in data analysis, or bugs
• Any interpretations, commentary, or conclusions generated by our AI features, whether or not you have chosen to enable them
• Any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service

You expressly waive and release Runima from any and all liability, claims, causes of action, or demands for any injury, illness, loss, or damage that may result from your participation in physical activities or training decisions made in connection with using this service.

Your Responsibilities

By using Runima, you agree to:

• Consult with qualified healthcare and training professionals before beginning or modifying any exercise program
• Use the service at your own risk and exercise your own independent judgment
• Not rely solely on Runima's analytics for making training or health decisions
• Stop any physical activity immediately if you experience pain, discomfort, or other adverse symptoms
• Understand that all metrics and recommendations are estimates and may not be accurate for your situation
• Provide accurate data and understand that inaccurate data may lead to inaccurate analytics
• Maintain appropriate insurance coverage for your athletic activities
• Not hold Runima responsible for any outcomes resulting from your training decisions

Age Requirement

You must be at least 18 years old to use Runima. By using this service, you confirm that you are 18 years of age or older and have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement.

Account Terms

• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and password
• You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account
• You must provide accurate and complete information when creating your account
• You may not use the service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
• You must not transmit any malicious code or interfere with the service's operation

No Warranty of Accuracy

Runima provides the service "as is" without any warranties. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any analytics, metrics, recommendations, or insights. Data analysis may contain errors, and algorithms may produce incorrect results.

Metrics such as VO2max estimates, training stress scores, recovery indicators, and race predictions are mathematical approximations and may not accurately reflect your actual fitness, recovery state, or performance capabilities.

Intellectual Property

The service, including all code, designs, graphics, and analytics algorithms, is owned by Runima and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. Your data remains yours, but you grant Runima the right to process and analyze it to provide the service.

Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the service at any time, for any reason, without notice. You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us through the contact form. Upon termination, all provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination shall remain in effect, including limitation of liability and dispute resolution provisions.

Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. We will notify you of any changes by updating the "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of the service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the modified terms.

Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws, without regard to conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the service shall be resolved through binding arbitration or in courts of competent jurisdiction.

Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
