More watches, deeper health data

Full-history Garmin export and Amazfit/Zepp imports, stress, Body Battery and HRV baselines on Health, a choice of AI providers, faster dashboards, a free progression calculator and clearer pace and load evidence.

### Garmin full-history import

New

Drop your Garmin data export ZIP as is, or its folder: every run plus years of sleep, nightly HRV, stress, Body Battery, SpO₂, steps, weight and VO₂max in one upload. Other sports and device files are skipped before upload. Runs edited in Garmin Connect no longer import twice.

### Amazfit & Zepp import

New

Drop the Zepp export ZIP, password-protected too, or its folder: runs, sleep stages, steps, weight and minute heart rate in one upload. HR is matched to each workout and night, checked against the hour before, and DST-safe. Re-imports enrich, never duplicate; Garmin data keeps priority.

### Resting & overnight heart rate

New

Amazfit resting HR uses Garmin's definition: the lowest 30-minute average of each day's minute HR. Overnight HR uses only staged sleep. Sparse or workout-skewed days are skipped, not guessed. Both feed recovery, readiness and AI insights.

### Sleep and daily activity on Health

New

New Health charts: overnight HR, time awake during sleep, steps, movement distance and body weight. Plus deep/light/REM split, awakenings and bedtime/wake-time consistency.

### Stress, Body Battery and HRV baseline

New

New Health cards for all-day and sleep stress, Body Battery peak and low, lowest overnight SpO₂ and intensity minutes. The HRV chart shades your personal baseline range, and nightly HRV from the export takes priority over Sleep.csv's 7-day average.

### Perceived effort on runs

New

Runs from the Garmin export show your RPE and how you felt, plus session load (RPE × minutes).

### Choose your AI provider

New

AI summaries can run on Claude (Anthropic), OpenAI or NVIDIA Nemotron. Opt-in; providers receive only calculated training facts, never your name, email or password.

### Faster analytics, lighter imports

Improved

Stored per-run stream summaries and incremental running load make Overview, records and intensity load faster on years of history. Large imports use less memory and keep the app responsive.

### 5K and 10K training guides

New

Evidence-based 5K and 10K guides plus one-page cheatsheets: routes by current race time, weekly structure, key workouts, block progression and race week.

### Multi-watch FIT imports

Improved

Experimental FIT import for COROS, Suunto, Polar and Apple Watch via HealthFit. Clearer error hints. Sleep and recovery data still need a Garmin or Amazfit import.

### TCX activity imports

New

Import recorded runs as TCX, including summary-only indoor activities. Trackpoints unlock pace/HR charts, lap splits and detailed analysis using available sensor data. FIT, TCX and CSV duplicates merge, with FIT data preferred.

### Running Calendar

New

Yearly activity heatmaps on Overview with daily details. Color by distance, duration, running load, run count, elevation gain, average HR, pace or calories. Includes median runs/week across each year’s active period.

### Speed & Endurance

New

Critical-speed duration and best-effort distance views: 400/800 m, mile, 3/5/10K, HM/M. Select Daniels equivalents from a mile; tooltips show time, pace and gaps. View/reference persist while navigating.

### Free progression calculator

New

Target mileage/520 weeks; build/steady/recovery; editable starting runs; km/miles; 30-day distances. Optional short days above preferred lengths; frequency redistributes volume with two-week holds. Linked evidence vs. planning assumptions. No account.

### Session checks & distance ceilings

Improved

Upcoming runs: 30-day history. Optional ceilings update generated weekly running-load/fitness projections; coach workouts get warnings only.

### Load guidance

Improved

No ACWR-only cutbacks/35% long-run cap. Dashboards/AI/docs clarify coaching assumptions vs. session-distance observations.

### Training pace context

Improved

Daniels-based paces replace averages; recent race-like efforts can refine Threshold via CS, Tanda only Marathon. Compare log-endurance/MAS race-proxy/Morton with suitable data. Popovers: sources, dates, limits.

### Pace estimate fixes

Fixed

Pace-based running load shares dashboard race windows/CS. Fits exclude recovery/preparation titles and unstable Morton fits. Historical dates respected; unavailable models reset selection.

## September

2026

New look, new plans, deeper analytics

A full interface redesign, structured training plans, coach share links, metric/imperial units, and new analysis of your records, intensity and endurance.

### Compare any metric across periods

New

A new Compare page lets you pick any metric, choose 2–4 date ranges, and see box plots with mean difference, confidence interval, and effect size for every pair. Includes cardiac efficiency, aerobic cost, decoupling and pace fade.

### Share your training with a coach

New

Create a read-only link in Settings — no account needed on their side. It shows load, intensity, training paces, heart-rate zones, and a 90-day activity log. Rotate or revoke anytime.

### Metric or imperial units

New

Pick km or miles in Settings. Distance, pace, elevation, splits, insights, AI summaries and free tools all follow your choice.

### Running load shown on every activity

New

Each activity now shows its running load and which method calculated it — pace stream, average pace, or heart rate.

### Race Strategy Calculator, rebuilt

Improved

Phase paces now start from your predicted race pace, with conservative-to-aggressive regimes and custom phase splits — works without an account.

### Dashboard and plan fixes

Fixed

Your active plan is no longer hidden, settings changes recalculate in place, and pace formatting is fixed. Failed loads and AI summaries now explain what went wrong, and the fitness/fatigue/form chart is back on the overview.

### Deeper performance analysis

New

Personal records through the marathon, critical speed, long-run durability, FIT splits and goal-race comparisons. Heart rate at a fixed pace now tracks comparable steady runs, adjusting for hills when possible; raw cardiac efficiency remains available.

### Training intensity and load

New

Weekly time in easy, grey and hard heart rate zones with a polarization index, plus training monotony and strain to flag weeks that were too uniform.

### Week-based training plans

New

Plans are now built from structured weekly templates with clearer progress tracking. Skipped weeks and injury adjustments shift the rest of the plan automatically.

### Interface, onboarding and speed

Improved

Dashboard, plan and content pages were rebuilt with better contrast and consistency. New accounts get a getting-started checklist, you can import up to 1,000 FIT/CSV files at once, and pages load faster and more reliably.

## August

2026

Big performance release

Deeper pace analysis, AI summaries, a rebuilt training plan, and a noticeably faster dashboard.

### Pace and heart-rate insight

New

A new chart reveals how pace changes with heart rate, using monotonic slices to make the trend easier to trust. The zone calculator also received clearer inputs and more accurate guidance for setting training intensities.

### AI-powered summaries

New

Training data now comes with concise narrative summaries, configurable controls, and a more efficient generation flow.

### Training plans rebuilt

Improved

The planning experience was redesigned with stronger calculations, clearer week structure, and more dependable plan states.

### A faster dashboard

Improved

Client-side caching, smarter route warmup, and refined loading feedback make moving between insights feel immediate.

## July

2026

Training intelligence

The month Runima grew from analysis into a fuller training companion.

### Adaptive training plans

New

A complete training-plan experience arrived, connecting current fitness, weekly sessions, and race goals.

### Richer activity data

New

Activity pages gained richer statistics and new charts for cadence, stride, efficiency, and pace progression. Garmin FIT files can now be imported directly, with improved duplicate detection and clearer import results.

### More accurate pace predictions

Improved

Race and training pace calculations were upgraded with improved equations and corrected Daniels formula behavior.

### Google sign-in and profiles

New

Google authentication and profile avatars made account setup quicker and more personal.
